![]() ![]() South Florida SPU Champion BACKGROUND: No expense spared development of a "Mini" Trans Am Car. SCCA South Florida Regional Champion in 2001 (SPU). Numerous overall SCCA 1st place group finishes in 2001 & 2002. Fastest Lap and Pole Position in 1st SCCA race of 2003. This is the finest 7/8 scale motorbike powered car currently racing in the SCCA. Well in excess of $50,000 was spent on its professional development over the past two years. It was built to be an SCCA Road Race winner, and killer of higher powered Cobras, Vettes, Mustangs, Porsches and Vipers on track days. 1 PRO CHASSIS CUP CAR - professionally manufactured by Pro Chassis in May 2001, in Tennessee. This was the 1st cup car built with cage specifications legal in SCCA competition. (normal Pro Chassis Car's have a tube thickness of .083" and do not meet the SCCA's required .095" minimum - beware if you buy one!!!). Car can be easily returned to legal Pro Challenge Circle Racing if desired. ENGINE: Superbike Mike professionally built ZX-11 big block,(the ZX 11 answer to the Hyabusa!!) , 185hp at 11,000 rpm, Billet Aluminum Nickasil block of 1250cc. (original dispalcement was 1050), 13/1 compression, forged pistons, flowed head, 3 angle valve job, Falicon forged knife eedged connecting rods, fly cut magnafluxed transmission gears. Muzzy dr-sump lubrication with large front mounted oil cooler, Yoshimura custom undercar exhaust to meet 93 db requirement of SCCA. Custom aluminum racing radiator. New spare ZX-11 stock crate motor available as spare, also spare 1109 kit, and spare head. SUSPENSION: New Bilstein shocks with hypercoil coil overs, laser aligned, corner balanced, wishbone front with swaybar, rear is custom Watts Link setup. All heims captured and also replaced with chrome moly black QA-1 pieces. All suspesnison bolts replaced with Grade 8 hardware. BRAKES: Wilwood 4 piston Billet calipers on front over ventilatted, 4 duct cooled rotors. Rear is Wilwood Dynalite Single, over Wilwood rotor on Winters Hubs. Wilwood dual master cylinder brake setup, cable and proportion valve adjustable balance. Pedal system allows left or right foot braking. WHEELS & TIRES: 15" Kodiak Billet aluminum Race Wheels, 7" front, 8" rear, Hoosier Road Race R45 compound, low profile, sticker tires. 8.5" front, 9.5" rear rubber on ground. INTERIOR: Ultrashield road race aluminum seat, New Mar resistant windshield and rear window, Momo wheel, Tach, Oil Press & Temp, Fuel Pressure, water Temp Guages. Radio Electronics harness for radio communication, Cool Shirt equipped including cold air helmet blower. New Sparco 5 pt Belts, Wink and conventional mirrors. Entire car re-wired to professional Road Race Standards. REAR END: Winters "Sprint Car" quick change, 6 gear sets available, balanced custom driveshaft, full floating axles and hubs. All Toyota junk eliminated in conversion to Winters. BODY: All fiberglass lightweight body. Custom Zeus fastener removeable fenders and nose. PERFORMANCE: Car has exceeded 150 mph at Daytona International. Acceleration faster than a Corvette Z06. Cornering and braking of this 1500 lb car are exceptional. SUMMARY: This is a turn-key (actually there is no key!), race car ready to win in NASA or the SCCA. It is easily returnable to circle racing if desired, or just used as a Track Day Car to hammer your over-confident big buck street car firends. Car is inexpensive to operate and maintain.
