New Feature - Monthly Sales Report.
Anyone can claim that they produce results. We do this on many pages
of the site. The one thing that separates us from our competition is
that we really do produce results unlike any other motorsports
classified advertisement site on the Internet.
It occurred to us, that talking about it is something that anyone can
do, but showing it is another matter.
Beginning in May 2001 we have added a Monthly Sales Report section to
the site. It shows a running total of the cars, trailers, etc. that
we are responsible for selling in a month. We also have included a
archive of previous months, so that viewers can see our results for
several months.
Now...... The one thing that separates us from our competition is
that we PROVE the results that we produce!
Check out this New Feature at:

Walco USA Classifieds - Update.
The Walco USA Classifieds, which is a "Sister Site" to The Racers
Network had a few development issues that needed to be resolved,
which resulted in a slow start.
The site is now back "On Track" and the following categories are ready
to accept ads:
* Autos
* Pickup Trucks and SUV's
* Collector Cars (Classic, Performance, Collector, Sports)
* RV's
* Motorcycles and ATV's
* Furniture
The Boats and Computer sections are currently under construction, and
will be ready soon.
The complete list of the categories that The Walco USA Classifieds
will contain, when finished, are:
* Autos
* Pickup Trucks and SUV's
* Collector Cars (Classic, Performance, Collector, Sports)
* RV's
* Boats and Jet Skis
* Motorcycles and ATV's
* Auto Parts
* Auto Accessories
* Antiques
* Collectibles
* Real Estate
* Farm Equipment
* Furniture
* Computers
* Appliances
* Clothing
* Health and Fitness
* Sports and Recreation
The Individual ads show far more detail and facts about the items than
other sites on the Internet. This provides a more consistent way of
providing buyers with information. For example... A buyer will be
able to search for a Chevrolet Impala with under 50,000 miles that has
a Sun Roof.
To view an example of a classified advertisement go to:

NASCAR TV Coverage - FOX gouge continues.
All through the 1st half of the NASCAR tv coverage this year, we had
constant requests to call some phone number, like 800-FXFXFXFXFX (or
some catchy number), and they will forward your wishes on to your
local cable company that you need the FOX FX channel in order to watch
NASCAR coverage.
This was done so that you, the fan, would pay a significant portion of
the FOX contract for coverage. If a cable company signs on for FX or
SportsNet they have to pay fees to FOX. In order for your cable
company to cover their costs, they have to raise your rates to
compensate. So... in the end... You Pay for the coverage.
In corporate America, large scale deals are not planned and carried
out overnight. They take several months to become reality. The
recent purchase by FOX of controlling interest of SpeedVision is such
a case. This has been on the drawing board for months.
Be prepared for FOX to switch some coverage to SpeedVision, and be
prepared for the new sales pitch. "Folks, if you want to watch
NASCAR, we will help convince your local cable company to carry
SpeedVision. Just call 800-SVSVSVSVSV (or maybe
800-wewantyourmoney)".
Be prepared for FOX to downplay coverage on the FX channel. But, try
to get your money back!!!
The basic fundamental question remains to be... Why hasn't NASCAR
stepped forward in your defense. They did for their corporate
sponsors in several hours, but have not spoken for their fans in
several months.
It is obvious that when NASCAR negotiated this contract, that the fan
was never a consideration. Where are these peoples heads??
e-Mail us with your thoughts. We will include them in next months
newsletter. Also, let us know if maybe we should collect names on a
petition to NASCAR, FOX, TNT and NBC, or should we quit harping on
this subject.

Safety in Racing.
OK... Let the Hate Mail begin.
The return to Daytona is just a few days away. When I arrive in
Daytona, the first words that I utter is "I'm home!". This is done
out of love for the track, and respect for the heritage that the track
represents. This is where NASCAR began! I always look forward to
"going home".
This trip is different. I just don't seem to have the same sense of
pride. I feel eerie about being there. Since we don't have all of
the answers concerning safety, it just does not seem that we should be
going. But... the reality of the sport is that we will never have
all of the safety issues covered.
All of the teams have been addressing safety with additional padding,
netting, etc. Jeff Burton has been working on his drivers seat, and
Humpy Wheeler has been working on the Humpy Bumper. The seat is
great! this should provide a certain amount of additional safety to
the driver. I believe that the Humpy Bumper, or a variation of it,
could be the answer to the immediate problem.
I believe that this is the way that it should be. It should be up to
the teams and individuals to develop the safety features and not
NASCAR. They do not know as much about the cars and driver impact as
the race teams know. This is just like a government office does not
know as much about Ford passenger car safety as Ford Motor knows, or
GM about Chevy. the manufactures are left alone to meet certain
safety requirements the best way they know. This is the way it should
be with NASCAR.
We do know that a traveling medical team will be coming to NASCAR.
This is something that CART has had for years. It will be a needed
addition, and has the potential of saving some lives. It will not
save all accident victims. When you die on impact, your dead.... and
a traveling medical team can do nothing. We also know that NASCAR is
working on safety guidelines, and some rules concerning the cars.
I know that many of you want NASCAR to wave it's magic wand and make
safety problems go away, but thats impossible.
The truth of the matter is that the death of Dale Earnhardt is no
different than the death of you or me on the Interstate. How many
people have died in traffic accidents while you have been reading
this? We don't know the numbers, but we do know that each death has
been a tragic loss of life. Racers in all forms of motorsports will
continue to die in accidents. All we can do is to make the cars as
safe as we possibly can.
So.... knowing that all has been done that can be done, when the cars
come out of turn four the eerie feeling will go away, and when the
green flag waves..... the pride will be back!
To all racers everywhere, in all forms of motorsports..... lets pray
for a Safe Race.
