  • Drag Strip Looses Lease.

    Bad News; NHRA Drag Strip (Drag City Raceway in Idaho) has lost it's lease to a large company "FMC". The race track has been operated, with huge improvements being made by Ed Jones. This is a family run track , and very Racer Friendly. They are in DIV.# 6, and will be Greatly Missed.

  • NASCAR Craftsman Trucks to run at Daytona

    DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Nov. 2, 1999) Officials with NASCAR and Daytona International Speedway announced today the addition of NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series racing to the Speedweeks 2000 schedule.

    "The test sessions for trucks at Daytona International Speedway in September went very well," said Dennis Huth, NASCAR Vice President of Touring Operations and International Development. "As a result, we were eager to bring the NASCAR Craftsman Truck series to the 'World Center of Racing.'"

    The initial NASCAR Truck Race at Daytona will run at 11 a.m. Friday, February 18. The addition of the NASCAR truck series to the Speedweeks schedule results in more racing action for fans.

    "Speedweeks at Daytona is the greatest spectacle in all of racing , attracting fans from all over the world," said Daytona International Speedway President John Graham. "The NASCAR truck series fits the stature of Speedweeks and is a terrific enhancement to our February schedule."

  • Official site for PRO Supertruck used race trucks.

    The Racers Network has been named the "Official" used race truck site for the PRO Supertruck series. The PRO Supertruck Series has been developed for the intent and purpose of racing the Supertruck in an economical and competitive manner. PRO continually strives to make thier Supertruck racing series highly competitive, affordable and entertaining for all racing fans, sponsors and competitors.

    Close side-by-side competition among various makes of trucks is the foundation for PRO's tremendous fan support. PRO is therefore committed to maintaining this type of competition among various makes of trucks.

    1983 or newer American-made (Ford, General Motors, or Dodge), 1/2-ton full sized, fleet side, conventional cab pickup trucks are used in the series.

    The season runs from April to October in Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Arkansas, and Missouri. Some of the tracks that the PRO Supertruck series visits are 81 Speedway, Tulsa Speedway, Sooner International Raceway, and Tri State Speedway.
